Terrific flying airplane, moderately aerobatic and a blast to shoot touch and goes with. A near perfect all around airplane for relaxed sport flying in my opinion.

Sweet looking plane!!! Did you add flaps? What size engine do you have in it? Any mods you'd suggest???
Thanks!

I have built one of these. I can highly recommend them. They are a very nice flying model and a straight forward build. I used a TT .46 I also added an in cowl muffler. I did add the flaps and I recomend you do, just for looks if nothing else

R-Duhb,
I apologize for the confusion but my RV as shown above is the 1/4 scale ARF and not the smaller kit. Sorry 'bout that! Not sure why I thought you would be asking about the ARF in the kit building forum. Guess I need to pay better attention to what forum I'm in!

I built the .40 sized kit version with flaps. Used a Magnum .46 2 stroke and it was just about a perfect match. Flaps added a nice touch and slowed the landing approach to a crawl. Lost the airplane to a stripped elevator servo (nylon gears) which led to flutter during a high speed pass. The resulting flutter broke every glue joint in the fuse including breaking the canopy and the cowl. Nice plane though.

Sorry for some reason lost the text... Teal and pink RV>>>
Agree, good flying airplane, have OS 46 AX with Pitts muffler, fast and plenty of power for aerobatics. Has flaps with Sullivan "go slo'; used Great Planes Scale Tail Wheel Assembly for more scale looks, great ground handling. Used Fiberglass cowl and wheel pants(removed in these pictures).<o></o>
Enjoy!<o></o>

Thank-you, standard servos. The "go slo" is a microprocessor that is connected between the receiver and servos that reduces the speed in which the servos operate. This way I do not get a jerky motion when servos immediate go full travel when the flaps are raised and lowered; this gives a more realistic flight parameter.
