The weather gave me a chance to fly the repaired 51P. The 1/4" plywood doublers on the nose did the trick. Plenty stiff now and still just a touch over 6 pounds. The butane expansion muffler did the trick as well keeping the residue off of the plane. Just a few small areas of oil on the bottom of the fuse and the rest of the plane stays clean...success! Nice flying plane and should provide a great deal of flying enjoyment next season. This is the last in the Fun series Mustang for me as this gives me a plans built .52 4s powered plane and a P82 with two OS .46 2s for power.
