Default Thinking about thinning out my collection

Hi all,

I'm a builder at heart. I enjoy flying my planes after they're built but not as much as building them. Over the years, I collected a large number of discontinued kits hoping to build them in my retirement. Anyway, I'm thinking of selling off a few of the big ones that I just don't think I'll ever get around to building. I know what they were worth about 10 years ago but when I look for kits on ebay today, there aren't many out there. Is that because they have all been snatched up by collectors or because no one is interested in them any more?

Some of the ones I'm considering parting with are

Pilot 1/4 scale Tiger Moth
Pilot 1/4 scale Jungmeister
Great Planes Giant Aeromaster
Midwest Super Stinker
Midwest 60 sized Pitts.

There are probably more out in the garage that I have forgotten about. Can you chime in on what you think the value is on these? They are all NIB with no construction started.

Thanks
Andy

You could try "RCU Book Pricing" in the Buy and Sell drop down menu above. If anyone has sold kit recently may get some idea what they went for.

Pilot, Royal and Pica kits demand some big bucks on fleabay. Watch their prices for a few weeks before you decide to sell.

If you'd let me take first stab at the 60 sized Midwest Pitts, I would really appreciate it!

Ok guys.

I've stewed over this long enough. I've decided to part with just these three for now.

Great Planes Giant Aeromaster. $300 + shipping
Midwest Super Stinker. $300 + shipping
Midwest 60 sized Pitts. $200 + shipping

I have received a few PMs and e-mails about these. If you sent me one, you have head of line privileges.

I also have a NIB Moki 1.8 for the Super Stinker if you are interested
