Brothers! For those who are interested I've found a hobby shop in NJ that can still get our beloved Carl Goldgerg Ultimate 10-300 kit!!! It costs $179.00 + 3.5% tax. In store pick ups only, unfortunately. Here's the link http://www.hobbiesr.com/126.htm and the number 856-327-0513.
I'm 80 miles away from the store but I may treck out to check out the shop, sounds like they have more kits than arfs....
anyways thought you all may want to know.....

peternj,
Have you called this shop? I just went to the link you posted and the GBU is not listed that I can find...it does say they updated the page today, so maybe between the time you saw it and posted the link and now, they removed it? Their search feature does pull up listings for a number of Goldberg items, but the pages all give "404"errors...hoping you have another link. I don't guess it matters much to me anyhow, I have one framed and don't live anywhere NEAR their shop anyway!
[OOPS!!! post WHILE I was typing answered my original question...nevermind!]

but someone on RCU is selling one http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=699622($215.00)

Anyways, I was working on this with Alfred but I haven't heard from him... I had my CGU plans scanned in over the Thanksgiving week and am working on getting all the formers traced out.
In the mean time if anyone is starting a build it would help us out if they'd trace all the die cut parts and scanned them in. I've tried scanning the ones in the manual and resizing but they're not true to scale and the ribs differ in size....

Hi Guys,
New to the forum. I'm buliding a Goldberg 10-300 Ultimate that I've had sitting around for 15 years. Getting back into flying after 10-15 years. I miss it. Anyway does anyone have any input as to wether or not to seperate the aeirlons into two seperate servos? and any other recommendations before I start building?

I would really like to see some pics of airplanes that have had the top wing attachment modified to something that is user friendly.

johnrist,
I used two servos on my bipe. The original reason was to add flaperons with a little down elevator mixed in to slow the thing down on approach when I first started flying it. The added benefit of having two servos is if one goes you can still save the plane since the second one can be used to compensate and hopefull you still have rudder and elevator. my 2 pennies

Thanks Alfred,
What do I need to do to join the brotherhood? Looking at your pictures I noticed the thickness of the glue yo're using, what is it? I'm using thin Zap and I'm thinking maybe I should be using the gap filling formula?

I used 30 minutes epoxy, I have always used epoxy on those kind of mods, because of the vibration posibilities, there are a lot of new glues in the market today, but I have not tried any of them.
I commonly use carpenters glue, epoxy and CA on most of my builds.
To join to our brotherhood, you only need to get involved, ask questions regarding your build or share your knowledge or things of interest that you may think that would be apreciatted by other, builders or users, but having fun could be the top of the list.
Enjoy the season.
Alfred.

I have a question for anyone in our brother hood regarding fuel delivery issue that I have. I am running a super tigre 90g in my bipe with a slimline pitts muffler w/ smoker, but when i go vertical it leans out. i've added a mechanical fuel pump but it does not help much.
the only thing i can think of the muffler is not building enough back pressure since it's not the stock one. any ideas of what I can do to overcome this?
thanks in advance....
BTW I'm getting awsome at 3D with ultimate in Real Flite G3.5... wonder if i'll be that gutsy with the real thing .... heck i got spares?

peternj, Check your pickup line where it connects to hard line inside of tank. It's common to have a split or hole there, when you go vertical this could be above the fuel level.
