Can I join with this Ultimate? It's not the CG kit but a little ACE 1/2A kit I converted to electric. I have built and assembled a number of the old CG kits for other people and assembled a couple of the 50cc size ARFs for for customers but never built the Ultimate for myself? I have given all the planes I built there maiden flights and love the plane, don't know why I never built one of my own?
Thunderbolt, if you check with Fiberglass Specialties they may have the cowl and wheel pants in stock, they may also have the canopy?
I did make templates for every part in this old kit but the wings are foam.

The DLE also has a rear carb so it may be interesting. I have read in the past about recessing the carb into the firewall with no issues. Any reason not to do that if needed?
This, a PT-19 and a cub i am working on are my first forey into gas engines so I definitly have a lot to learn.
Thanks,
Bill S.

I constructed two “holders” one for the fuel tank and one for the ignition module.
These will be permanently glued in their appropriate locations, they do however allow easy removal of the tank and module as they are held in the holders by a Velcro strap.

The cowl received a bit more attention as well.
The old hole for the side mounted YS has been sanded and filled (still a bit of fine filler needed) and I have commenced opening a new hole in the bottom of the cowl for the new DLE engine.
I don't think cooling will be an issue.

Love the idea of a removable mount for both the tank and ignition module. One of those "Why didn't I think of that" times!..

I finally i got my hands on the kit i was looking for in Vancouver! That guy who didn't want to ship agreed to my request!
I posted in RCCanada that i needed some help in BC! my request was that if someone would be kind enough to go see this guy and buy the kit from him and resell it to me!
So a guy replied and was willing to help!!!!! So i transferred the funds to him and he went to the guy's place and bouight it for me and shipped over here in QC.
There is still some people left who are willing to help!

Thanks all looking to sending this piece of history skyward.. As for the Blue Angels I fly the #3 used to fly the #4 slot best seat in the house by the way.. We fly 4 nights a week online we have 6 demo pilots plus a Fat Albert pilot who does the entire Fat Albert demo before we do ours.. We are all from different corners of the world and we are fully sponsored.. We have a Airshow coming up in March will keep posted anyone can watch our demo live... We do the exact demo the real Blues do right down to startup and shut down. Keeps me out of trouble....
As for the CG Ultimate I was lucky enough to pick this kit up for pennies, a gentlemen that used to fly a the field I fly at had passed away
and his wife was going to through 3 truck loads of rc stuff out so his friend brought it all to the field, It was the first thing I saw.. No need to wait for the acution I hand out the cash and loaded in my truck... I haave a eflite electric ultimate and I love this bird.. Im a bit of a hot dog but know my boundarys this is the first kit I built in 23 years well with this high tech arf's and all, I truly fell bck in love with building now as for the covering well let's just say me and him dont get along to well. Always been told man you build a great plane and fly the heck out of it but your covering needs work....
Was hoping to put a DlE 20 on this and in the process of building i had this in mind so did a little bit more shall we say beefing up but not too much got to keep that weight down. So any tips will be greatly considered.... Thanks for welcoming me a board #107 Ready To Rock El Centro "BOSS">>
