My Feedback: (1)

Hello, everyone. Has anybody flown this plane with a Saito FG-21? I've gone through the whole thread and only saw one person that used one, but they never came back and said how it flew. I'm not interested in 3D or hovering. If it would fly as good as my GP Super Skybolt with an OS 1.20 four stroke, I would be happy. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I was the one who mentioned flying mine with a Saito FG-21, and not following up here. If so, my apologies. It flies awesome with the FG-21. It won't have unlimited vertical, but close enough. And it'll just sip fuel!! I had a GP Super Skybolt years ago w/Saito 1.20 and I'd say it's a similar experience so you should be happy.

Same here... been into gas now about 3 years. They are a little less powerful than their glow counterparts of the same displacement, but not by a major factor. IMO the fuel savings, efficiency, and lack of a greasy mess to clean up afterwards far outweighs everything else. I do love my glow engines too, have several of those too, and each has it's advantages.

Unfortunately I sold the plane about a year ago, and also don't have pics of the set up. But I recall placing the ignition either next to fuel tank (you can get by with a much smaller tank by the way - think I used a 10 oz and was plenty), or under the fuel tank floor. I used a separate battery pack to run the ignition (so two switches, one for receiver and one for engine). But if I was to do it again, I'd just shave the weight and hassle, and use a Tech-Aero Ultra IBEC. Used them on several gas planes now up to 50cc and they work really nice. Don't recall any balance issues having the ignition way up front either - the box is pretty light.

I know this is an old thread but Im looking for some info.I purchased a used Cg ultimate 10-300 and it is not the arf as far as I can tell.It has one ail servo in each lower wing half. The top wing is held on by two small bolts from the top (not the pin system). It has aluminum LG and the wink braces slid on over the mounts in the wings not beside the mounts like on the kits i have seen in the manual. Is this later version as I have been told and if so where would I find a manual for it.Thanks
