Balsa USA Citabria Pro Engine
I may have an opportunity to get myhands on a BUSA Citabria and was wondering if anyone has any recommendation on what size gas engine can fit it. The specs on it only show recommendations for 2 and 4 stroke glow. Thanks!

RE: Balsa USA Citabria Pro Engine
I powered my "Pro" with the OS 1.20 4 stroke (pumped inverted). I haven't test flown it yet, but the engine does fit well in the cowl. However, the muffler, IMO is a little too close to mother earth and I am a lttle concerned it will hit the ground with a less than perfect landing. If I were to do it again I would consider mounting the engine horizontally, although the cowl would need a little carviing.

RE: Balsa USA Citabria Pro Engine
hey i am going with a satio 115 ,it is the same size as the 100,i have a 100 in my gaint rv-4 and i think the extra wing sizes call for this engine and i am using a 90 exhaust to a s-s pipe ,dill and tap the 90 for the pressures hose works great

What are your thoughts on a DLE-20 gasser? There is a thread out there that's giving it high marks and it should be the perfect size for the PRO.
|
RE: Balsa USA Citabria Pro Engine
It would be ideal....less messy too! If I were making the choice, that's exactly what I would be using.
