scratch building a b17 from guillows plans

Hi i am wanting to buy a guillows b17 bomber build it first then buy anothe b17 guillow kit and this time i would blow up the size to 120" wingspan. question is would this be a liable way to build the b17 this way? i want to take up the challenge the first kit i will convert it to flying model at the size guillow has. then i would trace the peices on a paper and mark them accordingly and make the parts bigger then transfer them to the wood i will use to cut the parts out. any ideas to make this work well? ive heard few ppl have made the guillows fly succesfully i just want to do two challenges. thanks any tips would be appreciative..

I got an alternative for you...

Dare makes a b-17 kit. (link below) 75" wingspan.

The kit is designed to be an RC flyable plane. You could build this into a flying plane, then if you feel you must have a larger version, scale it up to the size you desire. The smaller the multiplication factor, the lesser scale error. Example.. 10" span to 100" span, 10x multiplication. 50" span to 100" span, 2x multiplication.

Just a thought.

American Eagle sells a kit that size that will be a lot easier build and cost about the same or less. Its a proven design. Unless thats just what you want to do. There are kits out there in the size you're considering.
