Help name these planes
1 Attachment(s)
Ok,
Just wondering if any one knows what these are. The red and white one has a 47 1/2" wing span and an OS .28 engine. The gray one has about a 56" wing span and is about 40" long with a .46 size engine. Any help would be great! Andy |

Hmmm plane two looks like a bashed Combat Gremlin.
Or a bashed Flying Wing modded to front engine. |
RE: Help name these planes
Is the wing on plane two built up or foam core? Combat Gremlins tend to have foam wings

RE: Help name these planes
The wing is all balsa costruction, plane is very strange looking to say the least. I looked to see if there was any thing stamped in the wood as far as a brand but nothing. Might be built from prints.

The wing looks like a Desperado's wing, and it dose have the front mounted engine. The plans from this guy that I have seen just had the one vertical tail.

RE: Help name these planes
The red and white one is an Extra 3.25 designed by Rich Uravitch. It's either plans-built or constructed from a lazer-cut kit that was produced by Lanier up until a few years ago. Nice planes you've got there!

Thank you for your help, and thanks for the compliment! :D Now I need to find out what the CG is.

RE: Help name these planes
The flying wing is a Future Shock by Bill Evans.

You guys are the best!! :D I did go look and had to pull a servo out, it does have a foam wing core. It look like I can get a rough CG from the magazine article too.
