need help on electric conversion
i bought an old royal c47 kit. 83"wingspan.for .4o-.61 engines.i know nothing about electrics..how do i determine what motor, speed control, batt. etc
is there some website where i can go for help?any advice would be greatly appreciated |
RE: need help on electric conversion
Some motors will specify what there engine counterpart sizes are. I know the knew O.S. motors are in sizes of .25, .30, .40 and .50. I may be wrong as I'm still learning about electrics but I believe it comes down to the kv rating the higher the kv rating the smaller the motor/engine replacement, the lower the kv the larger the motor/engine replacement.

RE: need help on electric conversion
Well there are a few electric motors out there rated the same way as the glow engines. Most people use a formula to figure out what motors to use.
These have been getting good reviews on the forums. http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m605-big...020-670kv.html http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m606-big...030-400kv.html Of course you will also need the ESC's and battery or batteries. Buzz. |
