first scratch build
 

My first scratch build is the Microball right out of Oct 04 AMA magazine. It came out a little heavy weighing in at a little over 7 oz. The maiden did not go very well, not enough get up and go. I used a 2 cell 800mah lipo. I am thinking I might make it into a profile to try and get it under 6oz.

What are you running? (ESC and motor). Sweet looking plane.....I want one LOL.
And what is the Wingspan, weight and wing area?
I might have some suggestions for you. Don't know how long you have been into electrics. But thats all I fly.

The weight is OK, your wing loading is 10.08 oz/sqft, which is good for a wing of 24" span and 100 sqin area.

The original design was for old motors and NiCd batteries.

I would not mess with the weight or fuse, but would try to increase the prop's muscle.

I tried to keep it per the original design and use stuff that I had around the house. A friend gave me the ESC and I had to order the motor and prop. I do have 2 other electrics T-28 and Zaggi both brush-less. I pick this build because I would not have to cut and sand ribs. I did increase the nose to compensate for the lipo battery per the instructions. It was an easy build and looked cool.
