balsa usa stingray?

i got a used 40 size stingray can anyone tell me the cg on this plane and do you balance it inverted or right side up thanks Larry

Larry, the CG on the plans is at the rear edge of the spar, but in our club we found that to be very conservative. I balanced mine 3/8th in back of that and liked it that way, and I'm convinced I could have moved it back further. A radio failure caused a flyway. I'll build another next winter. Balance right side up. Great flier--very easy in the air and on the ground, but very capable too. The perfect second plane. Jim
