Ordered a Sig Something Extra today
 

Well I finally ordered my first kit - a Sig Something Extra. I really wanted to give SIG some business and the SE should be a good 1st kit. I have done many major repairs on ARFs but I have never built a kit.

I am going to put my Evolution 46 in it. And the needed Ultra Cote and servos are also waiting on the shelf. So it will be a cheap plane to get into the air.

If this build goes good then I am going to try a Dirty Bridy or an Utter Chaos. I was going to start with one of these but an easier first build made sense to me.

Wish me success. And if I get into trouble I'll come to this forum for help.

You could not have chosen a better kit as a first kit. The SSE is a well engineered and well proven kit, that not only builds well but flies well, especially with the Evo 46 you plan on using. With the laser cut and thin CA, this kit could almost be built in a weekend.

I'm glad you are giving Sig business, I just put a huge order in for parts there, and I want to keep them in business.

Review the build threads for the SSE in this forum. There are lots of good ideas builders have shared on this kit!

I to bought a sse as my first kit.. I am almost complete and had to turn to this forum a few times. The guys on here can be a ton of help. You will love building this plane. It's simple and fast build. Good luck and post pics, I'll follow :)
