big bingo makeover

Hello, I have a Ace big bingo that I would like to make into a biplane. I have 2 sig cap231ex wings and a homelite 45 cc motor for on it, any suggestion how to set the wings up?

Rev:

The best way to set the wings up for your project is one tip on the floor, lean them against the wall, and order an Ultimate, or a Skybolt, or a Jungmeister, or...

But if you're stuck on the Bingo fuselage and the Cap wings, put them one below and one above.

Sorry, I'm in a wry mood.

Seriously, the hard one will be fitting the lower wing to the fuselage. And if you can, you might want to add a little dihedral to the lower wing.

The simplest cabane would be a vertical sheet of 3/16" ply (not liteply) inset in the top of the fuselage. If you can't do that you can use two sheets, one on each side, to make a cradle for the upper wing. The "N" struts are up to you, I don't know the structure of the wings you have.

Final note. Set the upper wing about 2 degrees negative in relation to the lower wing. A minus two decalage makes the lower wing stall before the upper - more stable that way.

Bill.
