~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
I found myself wondering why there are a few other "Brotherhood" threads, and not one for probably the most popular line of planes ever flown. The Sig Kadets! I brought this up on a build thread of mine while I'm building another LT40 and there seems to be some interest. If everyone agrees, I would like to include all of the Kadet lines, and not just limit this brotherhood to the kit builders. I would like to have the ARF guys join us as well.
Shall we do it? If so, I am GaryHarris, Kadet member #1. |

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Back in 2003 I met the famous Claude McCullough who designed the Kadet at the Muncie Nats. I knew he was going to be there flying scale as usual. So I took my Kadet wing with me and had him sign it. His AMA number was 10. I have some pictures with him and I when he signed it. I will post a couple of them later when I can find them. It was a pretty big thrill to me. Keith

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Please count me in, I have a Kadet Senior. Started out as an ARF. Perfect sunny day and one of the wings just blew up on me and it went in. I rebuilt the wings from scratch and repaired most of the fuse, recovered the entire plane. I think of it now as a kit build due to all of the repairs. I loved it too much to throw it away. I would love to join the club.

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Thanks for the inspiration. You have motivated me to go to the basement and fix the broken tail feathers on my personally kit built Senior. It is 25 years old and just in need of some minor repair due to faulty storage,
Flys great with Saito 52 four cycle. Perfect for slow and medium speed flight. Tom |
