Please guys, let us keep our political views off this thread. We are about our love of RC Airplanes, building and flying, and BUSA kits.

They could stop those off the wall Tweets if they would add a breathalyzer to his smart phone!

I'm glad an old guy is keeping up with technology but "Come On Man". Enough with the tweets already. It's time to take his phone away and send him to his room without supper.

LOL! That's a good one! I think part of the problem is Donald doesn't know what he doesn't know and he surrounded himself with people without a clue and know even less or are more caught up in their own preconceived and ill-conceived notions regardless of facts.

Thanks Paul, tell us when and were your building thread is located. I have the Sopwith Pup, it has been flying for 7+ years. I did the building thread on RCSB (RC Scale Builder.com) on the forum {Balsa USA-building the Sopwith Pup- jwrich, page 3} if you would like to check it out. RCSB will ask you to register as a guest if you are not a member, no big deal. Then you can have access the site. Post on the site is limited to 5 posts. It is a very informative site, I am on it daily. Membership is $20.00 (US), a year, there modelers from around the world building beautiful scale models. I have learned at lot reading some of their builds.

Looking forward to your build. You will love the Pup, it is my best Sunday flyer.

Mate, just be careful it's not a really old dried out kit. Our Melbourne summers can get bloody hot in a tin shed where they are often stored. You may need to use conventional wood glue.
I have the 1/4 pup it's lovely, haven't had time to fly for a long long time, I really should get her back in the sky.
Cheers Mark

Nor did I. My building area is cold,, and the field is snow covered, and I have cabin fever, and I needed some diversion. Sorry if I offended anyone and distracted from the true meaning of our hobby.

No the wood is better than any hobby shop that I've seen The Kit is not old or kicked around. It was on EBay opening bid $200 and only bid was mine. Bidding finished at ! PM so I jumped on the train and collected it in Dandenong.that day .I will start some where on it today either the tail to get warmed up for building. Also on a Goldberg CUB that's not finished yet What power is in your PUP yours Paul T

Yes that is a fine and well finished model . I hope mine is as good when finished. I have read your build thread on RCSB a great place for information. Yours Paul T......PS I need to clean out the Horse yards first.

jwrich 03-08-2017 05:52 PM

My Pup is powered with a very old C-23. I am talking 25+ years. A G-26 is a great engine for this airplane.

I always thought the Pup had a very classey look, I like it better than the Camel.

smkrcflyer 03-10-2017 04:14 PM

I would like to build an L4 cub. I noticed BUSA has plans for one. Are these to be used to modify the J3 kit?

The plans may be for the L-4 kit that they produced. Since the construction is similar to their Cub, I don't see why they couldn't be used to modify the 1/4 Cub kit.

And I think the L-4 version fly's better than the Cub version.
