A 36 apache kit bash

I'm kitbashing a great planes p 51d kit into A 36 Apache EW998 and I'm having some problems with the dive brakes, both in terms of size and in terms of their actuation. Anybody done this before or have any tips for them. Also does anybody know the size of the airbrakes on the original? Also is there a good muffler that would allow me to mount the engine inverted without too much of the muffler showing? The engine is a thunder tiger 42. Is there a good and inexpensive bomb release system out there that will fit in a wing pylon? All help is appreciated.

There are several A-36 builds going on at rcscalebuilder.com. Take a look there to get an idea of size and actuation.

I have used the bomb drop mechanisms from Yellow aircraft on several models. they work well. http://www.yellowaircraft.com/accessories/index.htm look about half way down the page.

Just looking around and has anybody used the eflite payload release and if so is it good?

Michaelj2k,
I don't know if you know this or not but to look at threads at that site, you have to be a member. I just tried to check out a thread and it said access denied due to not being a member

You only need to be a basic member of the site, which is free, in order to view and post on threads. If you're interested in building scale I think you will find it to be worth your time.
