Use CA Hinges??????
 

What's the common concensus on using CA hinges??? I just got my FuntanaS which comes with CA hinges. Should I use them or use conventional pinned hinges? Pro's and Con's????

I am a big fan of CA hinges, and I use them on everything except Giant Scale. I am also a big advocate of installing CA hinged properly. In the research that I have done, I have found that the #1 cause of failure in CA hinges is improper installation.

I do not ever use CA hinges. Never have, and probably never will. I know many people use them though. I use my own home made hinges out of Fabric covering. I get a gapless hinge that is very strong, and best of all they are extremely easy to install. Even making the hinge is easy. What I do is take two strips about 3/4" wide and sew them together one on top of the other with the glued side out on both strips. Now all you have to do is iron them on.
