Horizontal Stabilizer on Sig 4 Star 60....

I expoxied my horizontal Stab to my Sig 4 Star 60 this morning and squared it to the wings, but did not square it to the fuselage...bonehead move.

The port side HS is 0.5 degrees(less than 1 degree) higher than the starboard side at the tips. HS is 25" long and the tip to tip difference is 3/16"

It is not noticeable to the naked eye looking at the plane unless you use the wing as a reference and then barely noticeable.

Will this cause any problems with flying characteristics?

Don't worry about it,the plane and you won't even notice it.The big thing is the pitch(front to back).jeffo

I HATE stuff like that and I'm sure that I'm worse than most about obsessing over these little things! I've been known to cut a stab out and redo it because it was off just a hair. Just today I tore down the modded front deck on my 4 Star 120 build and redid it because I didn't like the lines. That's the neat thing about building and Scratch building......you can make it however you want.

Now, to your Q, no, it won't make any weird stuff happen in the air. If it's going to bug you from now on, redo it!

Thank you for your replies jeffo and flygilmore.

I will let it be and continue the build.

One nice thing to do with a plane that has a solid stab is to get it positioned to your best ability when building. pin it in place. Then drill two 1/8th holes on the center line. now remove the stab and glue two short 1/8th dowels in the holes so it easily realigns when its covered and ready to glue back together.
