Herr star cruiser
Hi guys
I could use a little help on a new rc kit I just order. I order the Herr star cruiser . I have all the electroics and wheels etc. I need to build a complete plane. My question is what motor do you thing would be the best choice. I have a motor/esc / batt. out of a calypso glider. 28 motor 18 a esc. 1300KV 3300 lipo 30c . I also have a Motor out of a apprentice 15e Its a 15 size 840KV w/ 30A esc. I have a Himax 3510-1100Kv and 3516-840Kv. My 36A esc has died. So I'm thinking of going with the motor out of the Calypso Glider. But what do you think would be best for a Herr star cruiser . Thanks for any advice.. |
Recommendations for equipment will be included with the kit. I suggest that you wait until the kit arrives. Most of your questions will be answered in the documents supplied.

Thanks Tom I am going to wait before I chose a motor etc.
The last time I built a balsa kit it didn't get off the ground. the landing gear hit a large rock ( i was flying in the desert) it was ripped off. It then went straight up and the bad part straight down. 1) I think it was to heavy to take off. and 2) center of gravity ( after landing gear was removed ) thrown way off. So this time I'm going to do everything 100 % right. Motor, KV, prop. and thrust is a little confusing. |
