Stingray 120
I asked a fellow flyer this question and was told to join RCU and ask this question here. I am building the Stingray 120. The manual says to attach cable wires to the top and bottom of the tail. I would think that would not be very attractive looking plus the labor involved. For the planes I have built I have always put some tri stock for the vertical fin and for the stab. Is there anyone here that has built this plane and give me your recommendation? Thank you.

I used solid bracing wires on mine. The idea is to keep vibrations from breaking off the tail pieces.

Real men fly quarter scale gassers.....:D
All joking aside "Jabby," welcome to the RCU. (I know this guy, just messin' with him). He's a looooong time RCer (really old too) but flies VERY well! |
Put them on. Not only are they needed for the strength but the additional drag they create will make the airplane fly better.
