What is the best way to seal ultacote edges where it overlaps? I am building a diamond dust and am worried the covering is not going to stay on.

Covering

Just make sure you have about 1/4 inch overlap. Don't overheat the seams when covering because it will shrink and pull away from the seam and expose wood. Other than the overlap, I don't do anything else, ultracote is good stuff and won't pull away on its own (unless heated by an iron/heat gun, the glue in the covering allows the covering to be adjusted/removed/reapplied).

First clean the seam to remove all traces of oil, use acetone, then coat the seam with clear fingernail polish. When it dry's you will never see it.

It's also a good idea to remember to keep your seams away from the airflow, IE start from the back of the plane and work your way forward so that the air your plane is passing through doesn't have a chance to get under the seam and lift it up. (See Picture)
