Thunder Tiger Trainer 60 wing servo want to viabrate when stick returns to center. Tried several adjustments. Is this aileron arms binding or is there another problem.?
Please help

RE: vibrating servo

This really isn't anything to worry about. Once the engine is running, the vibrations from the engine will be enough to let that servo settle into place.

Can you describe the type of linkages at the servo arm and aileron, and the type of pushrod used ? Servos don't normally vibrate when you return to neutral, although there might be some deadband. I suspect you have some freeplay in your linkage system and that can cause flutter. Did you overdrill the holes in the servo arm and control horn ? Is your pushrod stiff enough ?

Larry,

Is the servo vibrating only while the engine is running?? If so, what kind of throttle linkage do you have?

Try plugging in a different servo and see if it acts the same.

Your servo can vibrate for several reasons- RF interference, damaged antenna/receiver, bad connectors, or damaged servo.

If just the one servo chatters, I look first at the linkages and hinges. Make sure there aren't any binds or sticky hinges. I would not disregard this symptom because a chattering servo uses battery power at a fair rate. If the mechanical parts are working smoothly and freely, then try another servo. As a general rule, things that affect the RF link like antenna problems or range problems generally will disturb all the channels, not just one. Certainly, it could be the radio, but the most common cause is linkage problems.

What servo, what voltage receiver pack?
