Reparing Foam Core Wings

I crashed my Aeroworks Edge 540 ARF the other day. There are A few sections of the balsa sheeting that is cracked. Some on the upper surface and some on the lower.

Is it possible to just cut out the damaged section and replace it or would this not be a strong enough repair?

Should I instead remove the entire balsa sheets that are damaged and replace them?

or

Do I have to remove all the sheeting completely and recover from scratch?

Thanks

Shawn

As long as the damage has not severly impacted the integrity of the wing it is possible to just remove the damaged section. Just cut it out and shape a replacement from a foam block, taking account for the sheeting thickness, and glue it in.
