Venture 60 Rudder Throw Question
 

Bruce suggests about 1 1/4". Is the suggested amount the maximum you would ever want? I mean, would you ever want more rudder than the suggested throw? I can get about 1 1/2, and if I were to make a slight modification (binding on one side) I could probably get 2"... I'm not looking to max out the throws here, I am just curious if I should make this small fix (the rudder is hitting the elevator a little bit on one side at 1.5" throw) to get more throw out of it..

I always try to get all the rudder throw possible. It wouldn't take that much work to trim out the elevators slot. Hate having a plane that won't hold a knife-edge.
