tiger 60 elevator servo installtion
[:o]
I want to install my elevator servo at the rear of the plane as I have seen done in earlier posts. My questions is, when installing any servo, (I am not sure to to correctly ask this question) but is there any limit to the angle of the servo to the elevator that must be maintained? Or do you want everything as close to 90 degrees as possible? if you are allowed latitude what should you try and avoid? Any help would be appreciated. |
RE: tiger 60 elevator servo installtion
As long as you keep the servo parallel to the stab, and keep the elevator horn as close to inboard as possible, you should have no problem.

Actually, the Tiger 60 has a rather long tail moment, similar to a patern plane. I'd be careful about how much weight I put in the tail.

Randy is right. I've seen a couple of guys try putting the elevator servo in the tail. They really had to add a lot of lead to the nose to get the plane balanced.

I had to add a weighted spinner nut on the front of mine. It still liked to fall on it's tail with an empty tank.
