Antenna routing on Sig 4 Star 40

I am nearing completion of Sig 4 Star 40, the kit manual doesn't go into any detail
on routing the antenna, it specifies the drilling of an exit hole behind the wing, but
doesn't go any further. Any one who has built a 4star have any suggestions?

Bob,
Hope you get/have one of the good 46 LA's. I've heard a lot of people complain about them, but mine runs just fine and if your's does, should be a good match for the 4 Star.

By the way, my antenna comes out the side of the fuse and back to the top of the vertical stab. You can do pretty much anything you want with it, and it will be fine.

Larry, I'm guessing that you're wasting that Webra on the 4 Star. ;) It's a plane that has a lot of drag and doesn't like to go all that fast anyway. Now that Webra 50 on a Super Sportster, THAT would be a great combo! :D

Regarding the antenna on the 4*, I drilled a small hole in the fuse behind the wing and ran the antenna to the tail wheel. I used a rubber band with strain relief (servo arm) on both the tail wheel end and where the antenna exits the fuse. Works good, but inside the fuse with tubing is preferable as it looks better, but it is a little more work.

Dennis, it's funny you should mention the super sportster because i happen to have one with a thunder tiger-46 in it , maybe your right about the webra-50, i had the motor in a f-4 phantom and i don't get the same speed out of my 4 star. i also have a somethin extra with a magnum-40 in it , i think the i might change the motors around a little Larry
