what is a good first kit
 

I'm starting to think about a winter project,and thought I would try a kit,the only question is what kind to start with.I've been flying ARF's for about a year and a half, I have an alpha 40 and an ultra stick 40 size.would like to stay with a intermediate type plane.Any suggestion would be appreciated.

sig somethin extra !! a great first kit . dont get much easier.

Sig's 4-Star series is a classic step up from trainers and a nice kit.
Either .40 or .60-size would be a good choice.

Sig SE and 4 Star are very good choices, also Great Planes Rapture looks like a good candidate.

Any newer kit from Sig, or any kit from great planes will do you. TYheya re some of teh most complete. And possibly both have the best manuals out there.

As teh toehrs have said. The Something Extra, the 4 Star, The 'slow poke' teh ratpture, the 'Super Sportster.. the list can go on!

I would also suggest that along with previous suggestions you consider a Top Flite Contender. This is a fly where you point it intermediate aircraft that is fully capeable of flying the beginner pattern.
The contender is not quite as easy to build as the SIG but is certainly not difficult.
