Help w/ engine mounting pls
 

Hello. I have a Creek Hobbies 73" Edge ARF with a Fuji 32 I'll be throwing together soon.

I'm wondering about the mounting of the Fuji. If I go sideways it will fit better in the cowl but I would have to take a BIG cutout out of the firewall for the muffler. If I do it inverted, I'll need to make a cut in the bottom of the cowl, of course, but take less of the firewall. This is my first gasser- do all the rear-exhaust engines generally have mufflers that extend beyond the mount such that you have to remove part of the firewall? I don't care for that.

Also, is 1.5 oz fiberglass Ok for beefing up the firewall?
