Phoenix Sonic 25 - Wing/Stab Alignment

I know this area is for kits, but I thought someone in the building area would have a better response. I have the subject ARF and it's my first low wing/bolt on type plane. The problem is the wing dowels/bolt holes are already installed and they are very tight fitting (good?), thus the wing will not wiggle in the fuse, at all. I started to install the stab and measured off the wing TE (not the alieron) to get it aligned, then I checked the measurements on the LE/TE of the stab and it was off about 1/4" (?) .... just to check, I moved the stab so the LE/TE measurements were equal and measured to the point where the wing/fuse meet, it was on. Next I checked the distance from the fuse tail to the wing TE, it was off. I then pulled out a 2' square, as you might guess, the wing was not square to the fuse.

What should I do???

You can drill out the mount holes in the wing to 1/4" or 3/8" whichever is closest. Glue in a dowel in the hole you drilled. Then you can set up the wing square and drill new holes. You can take 2 nylon bolts and carefully put a point on them. Be sure the point is centered on the bolt. Thread them in backwards so the points face the wing. You align up the wing and press the wing down on the points to mark the wing for where the new holes go. Good luck with it.
