GP Ultimate bipe - Building pic.
 

Just wanted to share my tiny building of the ultimate. I'll be starting the covering job in a few weeks. Im using an O.S. 70II with standard muffler. If some of you are building this model and plan on using this engine please buy and extra bend of the exhaust pipe. This will almost make the muffler fit inside the cowl.

Hope you all like it - and I'll post more when covering is done.

hey i like that pic looks great how you gonna cover it? i am wanting to build this kit myself.I have the os 70II surpass in my u-can-do and it is a great engine my plane weighs about 7 and a half punds and has unlimited verticle even out of a hover i think you will be happy with it.Keep up the good work!

i've just bought this kit, had to import it from the US as Irvine do not import GP kits any more only ARTF [&o], going to put a YS63s in it which should pull it well. Looking forward to starting the build after I have finish the glens cap.
Good luck with the covering and keep the pics coming. Anything to look out for on the build ?

How did you join the cowling mine is in the same spot as yours is almost ready to cover. I lost some of the intrest to finish it but may for a winter project. I was going to use a os70 but will opt for a saito 91 now. Should be quick. We'll see. I bought a Katana 50 for the saito 91. Till i fiish the Ultimate but the covering schem will be just like the DP Ultimate. Yellow!!! May do the bottom of the wing/tail feathers see threw blue like the Katana 90.

The Ultimate cowl is probably the worst part of the kit. I just ordered a glass one from Stan's Fibretech.

Heres my GP Ultimate. Great flyer, a bit heavy but the K&B Sreaming 48 2 stoke does just fine

Love your colors spad man. I'm still trying to come up with a nice one myself. My model seems a big one the heavy side also, but the full scale is not going to hover anyway, so scale appearance is probably spot on ;)

Imagination is not my strong point (at least as far as covering schemes anyway.....) so I proudly plagiarise:D:D:D

Does anyone know of a videoclip of the GP ultimate that you can download... Just to see what they are able to do? I am fairly new to actually flying r/c's and it would be nice to see what I'm in for :D

What a pain it is in dealing with the cowling and wheel pants.

Do you have a link for where you ordered the glass part?
