a few ?
I have a Sig kavalier 40. I got it for x-mas and its my fist kit and its still in the box because it is to small for the motors i have. I have a brand new evo .61. Just wondering if any 1 ever put a .61 on one of these or if i should just take it back and get a different plane.

RE: a few ?
If you've got $50-60 around you could pick up from Tower a very nice Super Tigre GS40 ringed 40 that would do very well in that plane of yours. Or - you could take it back...sup to you.

RE: a few ?
I have a sig kaviler from 1985 and it still flys great with a 40 size engine. I think a 46 fx would be about right for that plane. I dont think you will like a 61 on it. probly would be nose heavy and need a lot of weight to balance it and fly like a rocket. I would get another engine or swap the plane but you cant find a better flier with the right engine. Wayne

Yep, a .60 is too much for that plane. A perfect engine for it would be a .52 Four-Stroke.

RE: a few ?
I'm building a Kavalier at the moment and will either put my OS .46AX in it or upgrade to a Saito .56. I have a build thread going in this forum, a few mods are needed to fit the Saito in the cowl, not sure how the evo .61 compares in size but you may have trouble if you go ahead with it. I'd agree though that it will be too much for this plane.

RE: a few ?
I have a saito .56, and my dad has an evo .61. The .61 is much larger than the .56. A saito .56 is almost the exact same size as the evo .46. Footprint, weight, and all.
