Covering Information Please?

Hi Guys, I am just getting to the point in my building experience where I really want to get beyond the basic covering techniques. I keep hearing about a trick for laying down one covering over another without all the wrinkles and bubbles know as the "Windex Trick" Would someone please explain how this is done? Or does anyone know other tricks for doing a color over a color?
Thanks

RE: Covering Information Please?

I have done this by cutting the piece you want to overlay then spray the surface to be covered over with windex. Lay the piece over the covering and move it into position. Work from the center out and squeege out all the water a flexible piece of carding or thin plastic. Once I would get the bubbles out I would go over the trim with an iron on a low heat setting.
This works good for me, not sure how everyone else does it.
Good Luck!!
Anthony

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. When you squeege over open bays in the wing, does the flexing of the base monocote cause any trouble?
Thanks again
