I have built 3 of these and love to build them! What a great kit! Now to get my shop cleaned back up, I make quite a mess.

Nice job, Nick!

I'd be proud of that one, too!

Just finished mine, going to final balance tomorrow and repair some of the hanger rash and wax her up and maybe go out and see how she flies.

Happy flying!

I really like your color scheme Nick. I just finished mine & flew it for the first time last weekend. I love the kit & the finished plane. I just covered mine in one color, being my first covering job I didn't want to complicate things more .
What engine are you going to use? I used a Saito FA 91. It flys great with it.

Great looking plane. you did a good job on it. but I wanted to say that I'm glad that I'm not the only one who can't see his building surface when the plane is done!!!!!!! that's the way I like to see a building board.

have fun flying that one!!

Just one thought. Are you sure you haven't got the main gear on backwards? The photo could be misleading, but there is a back and front to the gear.

Hi Nick, did you use monokote or ultracote ? I am curious how you applied the blue and black bands on the open bay wing areas. Did you pre-apply them on the white film, or did you apply them after putting on the white film ? It's kinda tricky to apply trimming on open bay areas especially for a beginner like me. Thanks for the input................. :)

The white was trimmed on the fuse so no covering is under colors. The stripes on winf is first laid out and then I take a marker and dot along the sides of the trim and then remove covering and use a woodpecker on the covering that will be under trim sheets. This will let air escape and you have no bubbles. I cover with Monokote and trim with Ultracote, one word of warning if you use ultracote for base make sure you use Ultracote for trim (Monokote wont hold to Ultracote)

4-Star 60 bashed into Kawasaki Tony.
Gear in wings. 3/16 wing, longer with wheel well doors.
Removed 2 ribs, added wing tips.
Added tail tips & re-shaped.
Re-shaped canopy.
Engine mounted at 10 o'clock and cowled.
TT .61 on first day, not enough power.
Changed to OS .91FX, 14-6 APC.

Climbs vertical, excellent knife edge, flat spins.
Lands actually too slowly.
