CA Hinge Question

Hey guys I just got my H9 P 51 and CA hinges come with the kit . Problem is the ones in the kit are not like the ones in the directions. These are rectangular and have a 1/2" long indentation in the middle which I am assuming runs parallel with the hinge gap. Is that right because they did not come out of the box like that, They are all 90 deg. off Thanks CRASHMISTER

RE: CA Hinge Question

I think you may have it 90 degrees out. It sounds like the indent you are talking about should be perpendicular to the hinge line to allow the adhesive to flow in the slot. Which way does the indent run, length wise, or width wise? It should rub length wise, so that it is inserted into the hinge slot.

RE: CA Hinge Question

The indent runs length wise, I thought it was to help the hinge flex .

RE: CA Hinge Question

If it was, I think it would cause more af a problem than it would help prevent. It is supposed to be inserted perpendicular to the hingeline.

RE: CA Hinge Question

Crashmister,

If you are talking about the H9 ARF there are lots of assembly tips in the warbird forum. I have a 150 size and some of the tips are really important for this one. You didn't say what size yours is, but if its a 150 I recommend that you search for the long, long thread in the warbird forum and read all of it.
