I wasn't aware that Lanier ever did an Ultimate bipe. You sure that it's a Lanier plane?? Maybe a Goldberg Ultimate? Great Planes? Dave Patrick?

CG starting point is on the spar at the tips of the upper wing.
Use high torque servos (70+ oz) on all control surfaces.

What else do you need to know? What motor are you putting on it?
Can you post pictures?

I am using a Roto 35, this will be my first gas motor. The OS 1.60 would also be a good choice.

OS 160 would be fine if you want a glow motor. Keep the RTF weight below 13lb.
This is not a real hard airplane to fly, but I would recommend prior 120-size experience before attempting.
If you are new to this size aircraft (sorry, but it sounds like you are) get a local mentor to help you.

In mine I have a Brison 2.4 (40cc gasoline) - This is at the upper end of "overpowered"
(2) HS-5625 on ailerons (One per side with interplane linkage)
(2) HS-5625, one per elevator half
(1) HS-5945 on rudder
(1) HS-425 on throttle
Hitec Supreme Super Slim Rx with a 5-cell 1650mAh NiMH battery

Do a search on this plane in the forums. You'll find a lot of good information.
