4star 60

hey guys
built a sig 4 star 60 with tower .75 engine, seems to be a bit tail heavy what do you suggest for weight . seems like it is going to take a good bit of weight to balance. i can lay my cordless scredriver on front of engine which seems to be about right. is this common?

Bigdarylg,

I also built a 4* 60 kit and mounted a TH 75 . If anything, I had to put 1/2 oz of lead on the tail to put the CG at 4" behind the leading edge. Something doesn't sound right if you need to use your cordless screwdriver for nose weight?????

Make sure your CG location is right and balance it upside down. I had a 60 on mine and had to a few oz to the nose. Don't worry anbout the overall weight this plane is a real floater.

thanks guys appreciate you're help, i'm thinking the engine could have been moved maybe a 1/4 to 3/8 farther forward probably would have made a big difference ,thanks again
