Cap stone hobbies dodger, How does it biuld?

I was given a dodger today by a fellow club member, who was extremely generous, and would like to know about it. Is the biuld easy, will a OS40la be plenty of power?

Thanks in advance,
Chad

The word is BUILD! 1755 posts and you have not spelled it right yet. [>:] BUILD!

When I lived in Columbus, Ohio I lived right down the street from Capstone Hobbies. They were great guys and made some really nice kits. Anyhow, I built three Dodgers, one with the foam wings that were included with the kit and the other two from the plans (with built-up wings). It might have been my lack of experience with sheeting foam but the built up versions came out a lot lighter. There's no taper in the wings and no dihedral so building one from scratch took about a day.

Yes, they are very easy to build, the toughest part is setting up a sound radio install in such a cramped space.

I used an LA .40, .46 FX and Rossi .40 on them. They all flew VERY fast, even the one with an LA .40! I've read a lot of your various posts and truly believe you need to get your building and flying skills together before attempting a Q500 airplane. I whole-hardedly suggest you finish your 4* and learn low wing flying on it before doing this.

Thanks for the replies, The plan is to get extremely bored with the 4 star and be able to do anything i need with it. I will be using an LA 40, what speeds will i be hitting?

I don't want to bionk this one in, because it was given to me, and would like to keep it up in the iar as long as i posisbly can. What tail did you do on yours? I like the standard and mid tail versions, but have heard the standard is stronger?

I will begin biulding around august or september and fly it in febuary or later.

It is still spelled "BUILD" and your other favorite word is "BOINK".

I did the standard tails on all three. None of them were ever clocked so I'm not sure what the speeds were. They did do well in our fun fly pylon races though.
