IKON Porter...
Folks,
I am considering buying an IKON Pilatus Porter Kit. Does anyone out there have experience with this kit (quality, robustness, ease of build, etc.)? thanks, Bob |
RE: IKON Porter...
A friend of mine in Omaha, NE. has built one. Hasn't flown it yet, engine issues. His, not the models.
Was a little difficult to interput plans and instructions at times, but he managed. Looks great. And it should fly like a big trainer. If he ever does get it airborne. |
RE: IKON Porter...
IKON kits aren't the easiest kits that you'll ever build, but they are well worth the effort. You'll end up with a great flying model, that nobody else at your field will have.

RE: IKON Porter...
The Kits and plans are roumored to be in the upgrade mode from information I have received.
Emil Neeley the founder passed away about a year ago and the business was sold locally. The new owner is apparently in the process of many upgrades which is good news for real kit builders. If you are an erxperianced builder you have no problems and these kits are for the the experianced builder. Hopefully they will be easier to understand in the future. |

OK, so what's the website for it? MM
