Has anyone out there built this kit? I was looking through the catalogs the other day and say it in the new tower talk and was wondering how it built and flew.
Thanks
Jeff

I've never built one, but several people in the MN club I used to be in have/had them, and all flew great.

I also flew one to get it trimmed out for the builder. It performed good enough that after it was trimmed out, on its second flight, it turned into the FIRST plane I ever flew a complete knife-edge loop with, and recovered at about the same altitude I entered the loop at.

Builds good, flies great,is not a beginners plane,if you have a few aerobatical low wingers under your belt, then shouldn,t have any problems

I'm building an "old" kit right now. This will be my second. It's a superb airplane. It was my first bipe and flew easier than many mono planes. Landings are a cinch. I learned many new tricks with this airplane, especially knife-edge, snap, and spin type maneuvers. It's really a fun airplane. Just the right size too. One very cool aspect is that it's slow and can be flown close-in. You have more time to work-out your routine.

Very highly recommended.

Scuttlebutt has it that this will be a re-engineered kit, laser cut, etc. It is a good design, but there is one thing to watch out for. The lite-ply fuse sides have lightening punch-outs in four or so locations. Leave the two that are over the bottom wing in place, secured with a healthy application of glue. When these are removed, the fuselage is very weak here.

BAAAHHHH.
Designed to fly great, not crash.

If you want to beef up the wing mounting, do it sensibly. Re-design the doubler and use a lot of triangle stock. Don't just glue a large panel in.

Outstanding airplane! I built one for my dad and have flown several. It's one of those planes on my "some day I'm gonna get one of those just as soon as all of the other projects are finished" list.
