Kit Building Techniques??
 

Hello All

Can anyone recommend some good reading material on kit building. I'm just getting started on building my FIRST RC Plane a Great Planes RV-4 kit and was looking for some information on building techniques. If anyone knows of a web site with information on building pactices that would be helpful as well.

Check out the series of Harry Higley Books. They mostly cover finishing but there are also some construction techniques.

RCM has a lot of "For What It's Worth" books that have a lot of helpful building hints. The magazine may be gone but the products are still being shipped.

The GP kits have some of the best construction books in the business. You'll learn a lot about building by just following the instructions. Sig kits are good in that way, too.

I love that site. I learned alot by reading that before starting to build. Some humorous things in there too if you read through.

just look at the book and go for it but do not do anything before the book tells ya cause it is usually only 5 steps ahead and you will cause yourself heartache
