Dumb thumb

Let's see, I have crashed my Kadet Sr. trying to hover it about a month ago and my Tiger 60 today being stupid. I have a Funtana that is still flight worthy and a pattern kit on the board. Neither of these planes are what I would consider relaxing to fly. What would the collective reccomend for a relaxing little plane to fly in the 60 range as I have a ST G75 and a Saito 100 on the shelf. I like building kits, so that is not an issue. Any input would be appreciated.

Go for Paul Swaney's Mojo 60 and put the Saito 100 in it. Then you'll hover and also feel relaxed.

Sold. I'll get another Tiger to build, maybe the deluxe, and the Cub. My wife will be sooooooo mad. He he he he.

One man's relaxing is another man's boring. I always thought I'd like to have a Cub. To me, they are the epitome of single engine civilian aircraft. Then a guy at our club brought his 108" WS out. It's looks really cool coming in for a landing, but that darn thing can't do anymore than fly circles. BORING!

My 4* 60 is relaxing. It can do quite a bit of aerobatic stuff, but if I crash it, it's no great lose.

Just my 2 cents.

Thats exactly why I've never wanted a Cub. I even find myself shaking my head when I see someone TRYING to fly one of those darn things.

Flying in circles is for buzzards.[sm=lol.gif]

For a ST 75 or a 1.00 engine consider the following:

Thats a decent number of choices. From General Aviation Scale up to 3D.

This is exactly why I am so adamant about Clipping the Wing on a Cub!

I always thought a Cub was a boring plane till I saw a Clipped Wing Goldberg Anniversary Cub fly...

I went right out and bought one! It's one of the best little aerobatic planes in the air!

But you MUST clip the wing!

I really liked the Tiger, that is why I am going to replace it. My Funtana covers all the 3D, even though I cannot.

The Cub has a few benifits that I had not considered.

1) I have a set of plans for a 25% Katana I want to build, but my skills aren't there yet.
2) The Cub is an advanced build. It should bring my skills up to building from plans only.
3) I can fly it at Scale fun flys, where my funtana is not really scale.
4) I would hate to put floats on any of my true aerobatic planes, but the Cub is begging for them.

Lopoks to me like a win-win deal. A guy where I work wants to put headers and a 4 barrell on his 72 Mustang, looks like I will have the money for it.
