Tutorials on Model Building

Hello All,

I'm totally new to building model planes, but have 12 years experience in building model cars (totally different I know) I was wondering if there are links to any kind of basic tuts on this, i need all info from the very beginning, i.e. type of tools needed, where to start, how to cover etc...
I would appreciate any sort of feedback.

Thanx

Kemy

The only problem with Airfield models is the amount of time that you will spend there!!:D:D There has been many occasions that I have 3-4 hours straight reading on his site. I can't even begin to count how much knowledge I've gotten off of his site. You can't go wrong there.

RCM used to offer an excellent book for the beginner "Flight Training Course"....an excellent addition to your library, new or seasoned modeler.

You might also try the Harry Higley line of booklets. Good stuff, and you can read them anywhere.:D

Yes, Harry Higley's books are GREAT, not only because of the pictures (that can say a thousand words), but because of his unique method(s) of building a model. I understand the book "Bipes" is no longer being printed - shame, that was one great book (now whoever 'borrowed' mine can return it anytime!).

The Sig Kadet LT-40 is a great kit for the first time builder.

It offers lots of tips and has a nice 8 page guide introducing you to the basics of modeling.
