sig hog bipe
I have heard all of these wonderful things about this plane and have seen three fly all with .91s. I am thinking of building this and would like to know if there are any misses or anything that was bad about the kit, did you change anything. post some pics of your hog.
Would like to convert it to look like an old 30's racing plane! :D Racer |

Lots of cool pics at fubarhill to look and see what other folks are doing with theirs, i.e. mods, cowls, powerplants, etc. Otis J |

I have basically done all the modifications suggested at the fubar site except moving the postion of my landing gear. In addition I modified my cabane struts to give them a more scale appearance. I also lowered the floor a 1/2 at the fire wall to allow me to install my fuel tank at a better position for my inverted engine installation. I used a fiberglass RV4 cowl . It is powered with an inverted magnum 91 4 stroke. Don't hesitate to build this kit. Scott |
Here's mine!

Fubar Hill has a nice list of mods. I put in a bigger LG mounting plate, moved gear forward 1/2 inch. The 91FX means she'll deliver pure vertical. :sunsmiley

anyone got one for sale?

Mine was, a beauty. Unfortuneately it was underpowered with an .80 4st and my lack of 4 st experience. Would strongly advise the use of a good .91 4st.

I have one almost ready for engine and radio gear. Hopefully later in the spring I will get to fly it. I am definitely going with the .91 4-s.

The Hog Bipe is by far my favorite flyer. Recently whacked it pretty good. Had the lower wing and fuselage fixed up, and was back flying in two weeks despite the fact that I thought it was a gonner. I am not a stunt flyer at all. More of a cruiser.....I have an OS .61 FX two stroke and while it is a little pokey, it fly's like a Bipe should. Very realistic looking in the air. Never met anyone who didn't love the plane......Advice??? If you want to stunt around, use a .91. If you want to cruise, the .61 is cool.
