Top Flite
I could use some input, if anyone has any . . .
I'm working on a kit, Hollywood Zero (AT-6 conversion), that I've dragged out from underneath my bed this winter. I'm having difficulty matching up part numbers on what is suppose to be a "tappered", "LE", "TE", edges, etc. I've matched all the rest of the parts, however am stuck on all the edges; maybe seven or so. I've looked at the plans, and they're not very clear - in my opinion. Any ideas on how I can firmly determine which are LEs, TEs, tapered edges for elevator, rudder, etc.? |

I have built the top flite AT-6 (maybe it's different on the Hollywood Zero) and as I recall, the elevators and rudder do not have trailing edges. You just shape the rips down to meet the die cut main part of the elevator/rudder. I'm doing this from memory so it is a little vague. I recall that the leading edges are in two pieces. The die cut (about 3/32) part goes between them.
I do recall having tappered trailing edge parts for the wing if you are not building flaps. Sometimes looking ahead in the instructions can help you figure the parts out. Hopefully this helps you figure stuff out. |
