Bucker Jungmeister
Where is the C.G. for a PICA Bucker Jungmeister Biplane?
I have what I believe to be a PICA Bucker Jungmeister Biplane. The wing span is approx 60 inches. I acquired the plane used I refurbished it and now is ready to fly. The only problem is that I don't have the plans to determine the C.G. Anyone who can provide any help, I would really appreciate it!!! If you have one of these planes, even if you tell me where your plane balances it will be a good check for me. Thanks |
RE: Bucker Jungmeister
I did a quick search and came up with this from an old post.
ORIGINAL: Russmall JRM, The CG as measured from the bottom wing leading edge is 2-3/8". From the top wing leading edge it is 5-1/8". Good luck with your restoration..............RS |

Thanks a lot for the help. This will get me close enought. But if you can tell me if the measurement is at the tip of the wing or at the center of the wing it be even better.
Thanks a million |
RE: Bucker Jungmeister
Always from the foremost front of the wing. So measure the top wing at the centerline.

RE: Bucker Jungmeister
Hi,
If your sweep back angle is correct the C of G is 60mm behind the leading edge of the lower wing where it meets the fuselage. In time you might go a bit further back to max 72mm. Regards, Peter Wiesner |
