sig wunder / first build

Well folks, after assembling a few arfs, re-kitting and rebuilding a few planes I think I'm ready to start from a kit. Flyin buddy gave me a sig wunder kit he had laying around. starting the build tonite. Have one allready I bought here, destoyed, rebuilt and I love it. Flys fast (O.S 25 10/6 prop), flys slow ,harriers if enough wind. Chases my friends gremlins all over the sky. Building this for my son who will hopefully solo in next few months. (he's 6):D Well, got to go c.a my fingers together.

If you get time document the build on this thread as I've been thinking about getting a Wunder and would be interested in seeing the build process...

Not that I expect it to be too difficult... ;)

The Wonder is a great first-build. It's not too complicated, yet it will teach you a lot!

Just a quick picture. No problems yet.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] Any ideas on servo/ rec. combanations? I have all futaba stuff in my other planes. My other wunder has full size (127f/3004) equipment. Any good small futaba that you guys use?Well, back to lhs for some fuel (gallon a week, OMG), and sand paper.

venom,
I totally understand about sanding outside. I take all my sanding out side, and I do it on my own too. Balsa dust goes EVERYWHERE!!!!! Unless you have a dedicated shop that is sealed from the rest of the house sanding outside is a good idea.

I would think anything with at least 20 oz. of tourqe would be fine. I am running two micro cirrus servos for the throttle and evevator and a standard 148 for the ailerons. I going to use a 3108 for each aileron on my next one. This will free up room for a full size receiver in the fuse. I have a micro Cirrus receiver in the one I fly right now, and as I was looking over the AMA stuff on the fence at the feild I read that the freq. I am on 27.195 is subject to CB interference. Since our field is within a 1/4 mile of an active mine where CB's are used alot, I dont think I want to keep useing that there. I really cant believe that I havent had any problems yet.
