Giant Aeromaster, Joining the Wings
 

I'm working on a Giant Aeromaster (the kit, not the arf). I've got a question to those who have built them before. Did you wrap the wing joints with fiberglas or nylon tape? The plans and instructions don't call for it, but I've always done it in the past. I plan on using Silk & Dope, or at least coverite and dope to finish it, so i'm thinking that the extra strenth afforded by the silk will let me get away with not fiberglassing the joint.

Oh, and 1 last question... what weight (or other spec) silk do I want to order from the importers?

I built one a while back and fiberglassed the wing joints, as I usually do. Always nice not to worry about that joint, at least that's my feeling. Can't help you with the silk though, I covered mine with Coverite...
