Dihedral help PLEASE!!

I'm trying to glue together the wings on my TF Arrow. The instructions call for 3" at the wing tip for dihedral +/- 3/8 but both wings must be the same. I have checked the dihedral of the ribs of the wing and the center panel and everything is dead on. When I test fit the wings the dihedral of one wing is 3" and the other 3 1/2. Not even close. I'm shacking my head. What to do!! I don't want to keep sanding because I afraid I'll take to much off and them I'll be in real trouble. Please help with your comments and suggestions.
Thanks

3 inches on one wing and 3 1/2 inches on the other wing averages out to be 3 1/4 inches. That's well within your specified tolerance. When you bolt the wings to the fuse, the wing saddles will even up the dihedral.

RE: Dihedral help PLEASE!!

If the dihedral does not even out when the wing is bolted on, then it would take very little shimming on one side or the other to bring them within 1/4" of each other, which would be more than enough precision. You'd want to do this with the vertical fin straight upright, of course. Even if you did nothing, it would be beyond most any flier to notice anything wrong in flight behavior. It's good to aim for precision to the best of your ability, but models can be noticeably out of alignment and still fly well enough.

Thanks for the replies. I was a little nerves about destroying this kit. I hope to have it finished shortly and I will post some pictures.
Thanks again.
