It's a SICKNESS, stop me before I kill....
My shop space is limited, you can't swing a dead cat in it; I have to store my planes where I build them. All my racks are full. But I keep buying kits. It's like eating potato chips, once you start, you can't stop. 7 flying planes, one on the boards almost finished, and 6 1/4 scale kits stuffed here and there. So what do I do? I buy 2 more kits yesterday, one of them already half built. I couldn't resist, the price was too good (FunAero 1/5 SE5a with all the Wms. Bros goodies, $140, and the half built BUSA Phaeton 90, complete with a G-23, for $175) I plan to bash the Phaeton to something round-cowled that resembled a mail plane, as well as setting it up for floats. The SE5a will join my squadron of DR-1, D-VII, Pup, Nieuport 11 and Bristol M-1C. Big question is---where the hell will I put them when they're built?

Hang 'em from your garage rafters. Or maybe in the entrance to your house...That might cause divorce issues, though. Then think of how much space you would have!:D

If you fly them all enough, it won't be a problem. You will eventually crash a few.:D
You should have the problem I have. I am really bad about getting one framed-up, then hanging it up and starting a new one. Now I have 1/2 finished projects (about 10 or 11) hanging all over the shop. And I can't fly & crash them to create more room.[sm=72_72.gif] BTW, the problems you have are good problems. |

I got the same problem, The family still dosn't get why I get that look on my face when they sugest I keep my squadron in the barn.

yep, just re-did my area to "pack em in tighter". i dont have to many, just a small house
/out of room also //shop is full, basement full, spilling into spare bedroom ///I tell my wife we have to avoid having a kid untill new house with bigger model room is built ////couldnt imagine living in an apartment. /////slashies have a way of takin up space too. |

Hey I ran out of room four years ago but still manage to find
a little room for just one more kit especially if it's a real good buy. I just can’t pass on a kit that I feel is a good deal. I did a count of the kits I have a few months ago and if I started building today and could get one ready to fly every two months I would be 108 after 53+ years of building. I might need to sell some kits. What do you guys think? |

Tailskid, That's kind of hard to do in one photo. There's only about 4 ft
between the kits and the wall on the other side of the room. There are few memories in there that's for sure. Ron |

Hey Khodges.....Build or buy a shed...they are a snap to build and then you wont have to mow all the grass. If the wife complains, ask her how many pairs of shoes does she have. Don't give up the sickness, even if you never build/fly them, its fun just to buy them, especially if you get a deal.
